The Purple Book: Sensuality and Symbolism in Contemporary Art & Illustration, 2013

'The Purple Book is a luxurious compendium of contemporary illustration that explores fantasy, sensuality and the erotic imagination. It highlights visual art and the written word as media for representing human desire's relationship with the dream-state, make believe and symbolism.

Much of the work by Illustrators exploring these themes is unpublished, personal work, and many appear here in print for the first time... A treasury of portfolios by 21 of the very best international contemporary illustrators.' I felt quite privileged to be asked to get involved in this project. I was initially asked to be one of the 5 main illustrators but as I was 3 weeks away from having my baby I had to decline and be a featured illustrator instead.

The Purple Book, published by Laurence King, was awarded 'Book of the Year' by British Book Design and Production awards 2013. 'The judges all commended the book on its wide appeal, stating that the book set new heights in terms of quality and presentation.'
